Synopsis
'The Unspeakable' tells the story of a family of musicians. Antonia and her father, Edward, have not been in contact for 20 years, and as far as Lydia, Antonia's daughter, is concerned, the mysterious composer who was her grandfather is long dead. Then she discovers that the real secret Antonia has been hiding is darker than she could ever have imagined....
This compelling new play is a powerful exploration of the truths and secrets that keep families together, and those that force them apart; and a provocative enquiry into security of our identities. Can we ever escape responsibility for our actions? And just how quickly can we become somebody else?
